Westleigh House Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Westleigh House, here since the mid-1800s, is situated on the edge of the Quantock Hills, providing the perfect base for exploring the West Country.

We have a number of pubs just a short distance away, all offering good food and beer. Taunton town is about 10 minutes drive away, offering a farmers' market on Thursdays and plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants.

Our guest accommodation consists of two en-suite double bedrooms and a guest sitting room that overlooks the garden. Both bedrooms are large enough to relax in after a day out or guests are welcome to unwind in their sitting room, complete with a wood burner for those colder nights.

On those sunny days and warmer evenings, many of our guests take advantage of sitting in the garden and unwinding with a cup of tea or a tipple of your choice - that you remembered to pack!  We’re not licensed but you’re welcome to bring your own.

Full English breakfast or a lighter Continental breakfast is served in our dining hall. All produce is sourced locally and the eggs come direct from our free range chickens. If you take a walk around the garden, you can see the chickens and geese wandering happily around the orchard.

We’re always happy to provide yummy, home cooked evening meals, using locally sourced ingredients and cooked on our Aga.  You’re very welcome to bring your own wine or spirits.  Please give us 24 hours’ notice if you’d like to dine at £25pp for two courses and £30pp for three courses.

Ample car and bicycle parking is available.

As we graze various livestock and have a number of free-range laying hens and two Jack Russells, we regretfully do not accept guests' dogs on the premises.

We do wind down on bookings during the December – February period.  However, it’s not a hard and fast “closed”, so please do email or call if you would like accommodation during that time and we shall be pleased to try and accommodate you.
